For the third year in a row, I got the chance to spend a perfect holiday in Split, sitting on the beach in the morning and playing at the Riva in the evening.

In these beautiful surroundings we encountered the most wonderful chance puppeteers of all ages and from all around the world.

John was, of course, most impressed by the beautiful ladies with long, bare legs.

He kept repeating all evening that these incredible legs went up up up. You can see it in his gesture 🙂

Meanwhile, the little animals and goblins made friends with the locals.

The little rainbow monster was particularly happy to pose with a pretty rainbow girl.

The young lady below was not only charming, but also a skilled guitar player, mouse catcher and dog handler.

We were really happy that she came back the next day, bringing her sister and a friend to join us.

The next encounter was really special! Thanks for spending time with us on this very important day of your live and the best of luck to you!

Some girls are born to be models!

The little green monster was overjoyed to be allowed in the picture with them.

And once again the puppeteers synchronized their movements perfectly with the puppets.

Some very young girls turned out to be super mouse catchers!

I was really happy to get permission to capture these moments.

I strongly suspect that the guys in the next picture first stopped to make fun of me. That we then had so much fun together, is one of the miracles that sometimes occur in puppeteering.

From time to time there are smiles that even outshine the evening sun.

John and Dave did their best to make these radiant young people stay as long as possible.

While John had already accompanied me on several trips abroad, it was Dave’s first gig away from home.

He did so well in Split, that he got two bookings for Vienna in the months to come!

The next young lady tested my knowledge of Croatian and was veeery patient while I stumbled trying to find the right words. Thank God I managed to tell her that she was an odlična lutkarkinja 🙂

John was overwhelmed when a professional puppeteer from a local theater found time for him!

He was so impressed that the next day he proudly wore a Croatian bandana.

And last but not least I met a lovely lady from Vienna. It took us a while to realize „Wir kennaten eigantli a Deitsch mitanounder redn“ 🙂

Ich hoffe, wir treffen uns wieder irgendwo irgendwann, wenn die kleine Tochter selbst stehen und mitspielen kann 🙂
